Thus The Curtain Closes

Four years ago on a semi-warm September evening, in the foothills of North Carolina a group of twenty-seven freshmen took the field for their very first competition. These freshmen were either very nervous or very excited about the coming show, The salute was given and the band began to play the show. The show was a success and the freshmen were enthralled at this new feeling of accomplishment that had never before been felt by any on them. Four years and many shows later these Twenty-seven individuals took the field for there final competition, not as the green freashmen they had once been but as the veteran seniors who had earned the right to be called such. I can not personally tell how each one of these people felt tonight but I can tell you how I felt, it was a feeling of both accomplishment, closure, sadness, and joy all rolled into one grand conglomeration of emotion. My time in the band is all but over I feel lucky to have served with so many great and wonderful people who, have not only enriched my life but taught me what it is to be apart of something bigger than just your self. THANK YOU BAND YOU'VE BEEN GREAT.

"The heart of the band lies within each and every one who has ever picked up an instrument and played" --Unknown .

Spanish Blues

HOLY CRAP!! I was always told that if you learn a different language, that you would be more successful in life. I say confidently that Spanish II is the absolute Pits. Coupled with the teaching habits of Mrs. Freeman, this language has an assured ring in the bowls of hell. I'll be the first to admit that I'm not the brightest crayon in the box (anyone whose comments elaborate upon that will be deleted) but this class is just really freaking hard. Anyone remember Poe, and what happened to him? Well I'm sure that will happen to me (whoa is me). If there is anyone who could possible help me out with this please I'm am desperate.

The Jedi Song

I was browsing through the large and wondrous world of Newgrounds (see sidebar) and I found a nifty song Called The The Jedi Song Follow this link right here http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/238426 and see what you think. I personly found it quite amusing because because of its light heartedness and geek-like humor. Also while at ewgrounds check out Metal Gear Crisis 1.1 http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/226467 another fan fav made by Legendary Frog. The last video I thought was cool was Random Battles http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/169933

Sweet New Game

I was playing a cool new Demoed version of the Game Shadow of Colossus, A quite unique sequal to the Cult favorite ICO. Its larger than life Level (yes theres only one because The entire world is the level), lush graphics and gothic style music blend seamlessly into what appears to be a great game. Hey Tiff you did you get my Email? well if you didn't check you inbox then see if you can figure out what i have in-store for you on the 14th. Anyway Shadow Of colossus is one Heck of a game I suggest to anyone who was a fan of ICO. Here's a few screenshots from Both ICO (top) and S.O.C (bottom)

Hmm.

Well that's one Band competition down and I think five to go (correct me if I'm wrong) and if your reading this than your probably in the band and already know the outcome but if your not then: the band went home with and Excellent just 3 point shy of a Superior and with no hardware for our efforts, lets just say there were some quiet band buses especially if you were riding bus 1 and were a drummer. When C.J. speaks the world must listen (I'll try to quote the best I can) " You should a least act like we lost and not be as happy, I mean you act like were happy we lost the competition" I not sure what your opinion is, but when something becomes so important to you that it rules your life and control's how you act around others. When the very heart of it is about having fun and learning about yourself, then I fail to see why you would want to continue. I blows me away that C.J. would go as far to tell Ricena he wasn't allowed to talk. C.J. From me to You: It was a competition we lost big deal, Did you give your best? If you did and everyone else did then you should have no reason to get upset and yell scream and just generally be nasty to your fellow man.
