Go (Fighting) Quakers!

Oh my goodness, I am so sorry you guys. I feel really guilty that I haven't updated in so long. I am amazingly busy. I have so much work that anytime I have a chance to lounge around and chill, the last thing I want to do is write more.

I want to sleep. I want to talk to a few friends from high school. I want to just lay around and think about the day. I want to spend time with all my (awesome) friends that live 10 seconds away from me here at Guilford. I want to eat good food. I want to sleep.

Sleep is a big issue for me. I consider going to bed "early" as going to bed at 2 am. Sad, huh? Yep, plus, sometime around 4 am I wonder why it is even necessary to go to bed. Its not too bad, actually. I have an 8:30 class 3 days a week, which means if I wake up at 7:30 I have time enough to get ready and get breakfast before class. The other days I don't have class till 11:30, so sometimes I wake up and do work...but often (like today) I sleep in.

Despite all the work, I am very happy here. I am now settled in and use to things. I have a busy schedule with class, field work, homework, cheerleading (yeah, that's correct, I am cheering...so come to the games!), and finding time to eat within the ever-picky cafeteria schedule.

I can't really sum up everything that has happened, there is just too much. Last night I went to see
Ralph Reed speak, props to him for even coming to the Guilford campus. I wasn't in agreement with him, and actually found some of the things he said to be funny, but it was probably good to go see him. Plus, it was part of a class requirement...and you never know what crazy protest might happen. For another class I have to complete some field work, so starting next Wednesday I am working in the Alzheimer's department at a local nursing home. We didn't get to choose the location that we work at, otherwise I have chosen to work with younger kids. Oh well, it will be a new experience.

Today I only had one class which ended up being canceled. It was kinda nice because it motivated me to get up and ready, but when I showed up at the class the note left on the door said to go on home. It is a bit unnerving. We only have that class twice a week, and next week we have a test. I've got to eventually learn something in class.

Other than that, it has been a nice day. I fell asleep watching The Fifth Element with Erica, my roommate, and Greg. At least I think I fell sleep for a short while, because otherwise the movie just didn't make sense. I ate a mediocre dinner (although I thought it would be kickin' seeing as it is parents week) with some other Binford residents. I did my Spanish lab work after dinner and even took a shower at a normal time! Amazing. I like Fridays.

So, now that I have checked in with you guys, I expect to hear from you. My email on the blogger profile has been updated to my school address, so go ahead and email me. Heck, I even accept letters, IMs, and simple comments on the blog.
