Not That This Is An Advertisement

This is absolutely frustrating. It's my senior year....that means senior prom....that should mean a hot date. In my case, it means no date. Nope, not a date to be had. Guess it's karma coming back to get me... either that, or pure irony. Yeah, I was offered a date (not to mention any names, Josh) way back when. Actually, it was offered to me several times. But I knew in my heart of hearts it wasn't gonna be a good idea. As Josh told me later, when I was considering taking another guy to prom, "there is no need to lead him on." That was my feeling about each offer. Regardless, I took the second guy up on his offer only to recently find out that his parents would not let him drive all the way down here.

So, I am back at square one. I've asked a few other guys, but prom is either too expensive or they already have plans. With prom coming up on April 23, I am pushing the "find-a-date" time. I already have a group to go with and we have dinner reservations, but I am left without a date.

Guess I will continue to ask more and more guys that I kinda-sorta know until I find someone, or April 23 rolls around. In the second case, I can just do as my good friend Nate said and sit around and eat lots of chocolate ice cream.

I haven't had ice cream in a while....
